Skin Fix Medical Aesthetics Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Effective date: 10/05/2026
Skin Fix Medical Aesthetics (“Skin Fix,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.
This policy covers our website at skinfixkc.com, our in-person services at our Overland Park, Kansas location, our text message and telephone communications, and our online booking tools. We refer to these collectively as our “Services.”
By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
A note on medical records. Information in your patient chart — clinical notes, treatment records, photographs taken for medical documentation, and medical history — is handled under the separate protections that apply to medical records, not under this policy. This policy covers the information we collect as a business: website visitors, prospective patients, people who contact us, and job applicants. If you are an established patient and have questions about your chart, contact us directly.
Information We Collect
Information you give us
When you book an appointment, contact us, or use our Services, we may collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address
- Payment information, including card details processed by our payment provider
- What you tell us when you call, text, chat, or fill out a form, including your answers to “How can we help?”
- Reviews, survey responses, and feedback you choose to send us
Information collected automatically
When you visit skinfixkc.com, we automatically collect:
- Your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, and device identifiers
- Pages you viewed, the date and time of your visit, and how long you stayed
- Approximate location, derived from your IP address at the city or county level
When you call us, we may collect your phone number, the date and time of the call, and in some cases an audio recording.
Information from third parties
We occasionally obtain contact information from outside sources for direct mail and marketing. We also receive information from our booking and review platforms when you interact with them.
Job applicants
If you apply for a position, we collect your resume, work history, education, skills, professional licenses and certifications, work authorization status, references, and anything else you choose to share. We may also receive information from your references and previous employers. We use this only to evaluate your application and to meet legal requirements.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our Services
- Schedule, confirm, and remind you about appointments
- Process payments
- Respond to your questions and provide customer support
- Tell you about changes to our Services
- Understand how our website is used so we can improve it
- Detect and address technical problems and protect against fraud
- Send you promotions, offers, and news about treatments and events, where you have not opted out
- Show you relevant advertising on other websites
- Request reviews and feedback, with your permission
You can opt out of marketing communications at any time. See Your Choices and Rights below. Opting out of marketing does not stop appointment confirmations, reminders, or other messages necessary to deliver a service you requested.
Text Messaging (SMS)
This section is required for mobile carrier compliance. The non-sharing language below is what wireless carriers and The Campaign Registry look for when reviewing or auditing a messaging campaign. Do not remove or reword it.
We do not share mobile opt-in data or consent with third parties. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories listed in the Disclosure of Information section of this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
How you opt in. We send text messages only to people who have given express written consent — by checking an unchecked consent box on our intake or booking form, by submitting a form that clearly states you agree to receive texts, or by texting us first.
What we send. Appointment confirmations and reminders, scheduling changes, responses to your questions, and — if you opted in separately — promotional offers.
Message frequency varies based on your appointments and preferences.
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier’s standard rates apply to messages you send and receive.
How to stop. Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You will receive one confirmation message and no further texts. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us using the details below.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Where your information is stored
Your information is stored and processed in the United States. If you access our Services from outside the United States, you consent to that transfer.

We offer the following to everyone who uses our Services, regardless of where you live.
Access. You can ask what personal information we hold about you and how we use it.

Deletion. You can ask us to delete your personal information. Some information must be retained to meet legal, tax, or recordkeeping obligations, and we will tell you if that applies.
Opt out of marketing. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, reply STOP to any text message, or contact us directly. This does not affect appointment confirmations, reminders, or messages necessary to deliver a service you requested.
Opt out of targeted advertising. See the opt-out table in the advertising section above.
Cookies. Manage cookies through your browser settings.
To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below. We will respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will not discriminate against you for making one.
Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as long as the law requires.
- Patient and appointment records are retained for a minimum of 10 years from the date of last treatment, consistent with Kansas requirements (K.A.R. 100-24-2).
- Marketing contact information is kept until you opt out or ask us to delete it.
- Website analytics data is retained according to the default retention settings in Google Analytics.
- Job applicant information is kept for one year after the application, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
- Call recordings are kept only as long as needed for quality and training purposes.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or render it anonymous.
Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information, including access controls, encryption in transit, and contractual requirements on our service providers.
No method of transmitting data over the internet or storing it electronically is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for any account you create with us or with our booking provider.
Children’s Privacy
Our Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 without verified parental or guardian consent.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, contact us. If we learn that we have collected information from a minor without the required consent, we will delete it.
Where a minor receives treatment with parental or guardian consent, that information is handled as part of the patient record.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top and post the new version on this page.
If we make a material change to how we handle your personal information, we will give you notice before it takes effect — by email, by text message if you have opted in, or by a prominent notice on our website.
We encourage you to review this page periodically.
