Karie understands the importance of combining both art and science in aesthetic medicine in order to provide a harmonious outcome to enhance your natural features. As a full time working mother of three and breast cancer survivor she knows first hand that age truly is a gift and that the essence of feeling both beautiful inward and outwardly can effect how one perceives themselves and ultimately their overall well-being can transform. Karie listens to her patients and their aesthetic goals while educating them on the science behind it in order to develop a patient centered approach. She serves as the lead nurse practitioner injector and co-owner of Skin Fix Medical Aesthetics and provides all services available at the medical spa such as injections with neurotoxins and dermal filler, microneedling, PRP, chemical peels, and weight loss. Karie is a board certified nurse practitioner. She received her undergraduate degree as a registered nurse from the University of Central Missouri in 2005 and her graduate degree as an adult nurse practitioner from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2010. She is board certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She has practiced in cardiovascular care with over 20 years and continues to work with cardiovascular patients part time but her interest in aesthetic medicine began in 2017 and she officially became certified in aesthetics in 2021. She continues her education in aesthetics by attending training courses and conferences throughout the year to enhance her knowledge for practice and to remain up to date with the latest advancements. Her goal is to help others age gracefully by enhancing their natural beauty and to promote a healthy lifestyle for overall well-being.
